About Frederique

Frédérique (Registered Yoga Teacher) came to yoga from martial arts (karate and tae kwon do) and was hooked right away. Used to more cardio workouts, she found in Astanga and Vinyasa-flow yoga a style that allowed her to release stress and restore energy in a non-aggressive way. As well as a regular Asana practice, Frédérique tries to integrate all concepts of Astanga yoga to her daily life, such as non-violence, compassion, truthfulness, moderation, and self-study. Frédérique did her yoga teacher training with O2 Yoga in Boston (Registered Yoga School, www.o2yoga.com) and has been teaching there ever since. She also teaches yoga at MIT, and to high school students at The Commonwealth School, in Boston. Although most of her classes are taught in English, she also gives classes in French and Spanish. To enhance her own practice, and constantly renew her teaching, she takes regular workshops in all areas of yoga.

Frederique is also certified for
  • CPR
  • First Aid
  • Teaching yoga to children

About Kader

After years of martial arts training, I decided to take on yoga classes. The rhythmic flow of Vinyasa as well as the intense Astanga classes were the perfect combination. The meditative and non-competitive aspects of yoga were exactly what I was looking for. Away from the competitive aspect of martial arts, I appreciated yoga for its deeper, more holistic approach on how to challenge oneself on both physical and spiritual levels. I have been doing yoga for years now, and I can tell that it has helped me be the person I really want to be, both on the mat and in my daily life.
